When do High End Homes Sell?

October 10th 2015

Over the past 5 years home sales over the $1,000,000 mark have happened every month of the year. While local buyers may be more seasonally driven to work around the school year, relocations often visit London in the off-season months of January, February and March. People move for a myriad of reasons some of which include work, retiring near family or upsizing as a family grows and motivating factors can arise at any time. The audience for homes over $1,000,000 in a city with an average home price of under $300,000 is smaller so it is important to be visible. The risk to taking your home off the market for the winter months is that you cannot sell if your buyer is in town and doesn't know you are available. The sellers that sold in January, February, March & April may have missed their buyers had they not been actively listed in the winter months! While showings may be less frequent in winter the buyers who are out shopping  in cold weather are motivated and intend to do business. If you want to sell your home...your home has to be for sale!
